Description for blind and low-vision visitors

A horizontal painting on a broad yellow ground, with a band of blue and orange across the top and rippled water along the bottom edge. A large fish dominates the composition, its long body curving from the lower left to the upper right. The head, at the upper right, is blue-green and speckled, with a spiked crest of fine green and yellow rays, a concentric eye of orange and white, and long jaws opened on rows of black triangular teeth with a red forked tongue between them. The body runs through bands of pattern: a red flank strewn with white dotting and fan-shaped flowers, a violet panel of teardrops and hearts, and a blue underside. A tall dorsal fin of crimson and pink stripes rises at the centre, and broad fins in green and white striations spread below and behind. Two smaller fish flank it, one at the lower left and one at the right edge, each with striped fins and a small round eye.
