Description for blind and low-vision visitors

Two roosters face each other in profile across a small flowering branch, set against a flat golden-yellow ground framed by a wide, wavy band of marbled color in pink, red, green and blue. The rooster at left has a dark red comb, a body patterned with dense teal-and-red dots and a sunburst medallion, and a long tail of rainbow stripes sweeping down. The rooster at right has a swirling dotted crest and body in red, gold and green tones, with a scalloped green-striped tail and dark banded legs. Both stand on slender clawed legs, feet splayed on the yellow ground.

The signature

Detail of the painted signature: «FOZILVA»
The canvas is signed “FOZILVA”, at the center of the lower edge. The D and the S are reversed, so it reads as the artist's usual signature, “F. D. Silva”. Beside it sits the painter's thumbprint.
