Description for blind and low-vision visitors

A horizontal painting showing two large birds facing one another against a warm yellow ground that lightens toward blue stippled sky at the top. On the right a peacock-like bird stands with its tail spread into a wide spray of long plumes radiating upward and outward, each plume tipped with a red-and-blue teardrop eye-spot; its body is blue-gray with fine speckling and a small red crest. On the left a second bird in profile, with a red-and-white striped body, open beak and crest, leans toward the first. Both stand on thin legs above a strip of green grassy tufts along the lower edge. The palette pairs bright yellow and red with cool blues, and the plumage is detailed with delicate lines and dots throughout.
