Description for blind and low-vision visitors

A horizontal painting on a pale cream ground brushed with soft yellow, blue and pink. Two fish cross at the centre, both with their jaws wide open on rows of teeth. The left fish is the smaller: a red head with a ringed blue eye and a row of black spines along the snout, a green and olive body worked in dense dotting and scrollwork, and pink striped fins. The right fish is much larger and fills most of the canvas: its head carries a broad concentric eye of green, blue and orange rings, its jaws open on a pink mouth lined with black teeth, and its body is divided into panels of pattern, an orange band of leaf-shaped eyes, a violet field of hearts and teardrops, a crimson belly with flower rosettes, and a deep blue flank marked with pale drops. Tall fins in fine green, blue and pink striations spread above and below, and the tail sweeps off the right edge. Thin dark green weeds rise from the bottom corners.
